Message from the CEO on the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health

Royal Commission in Shepparton on Thursday

Yarrawonga Health is supportive of the Royal Commissions into Victorians mental health and it’s commitment to accelerating improvements in access to mental health services, service navigation and models of care.We acknowledge that the commission will bring to the forefront examples of unacceptable failures across the sector that simply must be prevented in the future.At Yarrawonga health we are confident in our services, commitment and professionalism of our teams to deliver high quality inclusive mental health care and welcome the opportunity for a wider community conversation about mental health- towards ending the stigma and discrimination.

This Thursday the Royal Commission will be coming to Shepparton and will hear from individuals, carers and their families with lived experiences of mental health about the state of our systems. All members of the public are invited to attend. Yarrawonga Health is supportive of this hearing and will be responsive to the improvements identified through the Royal Commission to help Victorians experience their best mental health.
